Job summary

Changing Lives in North Tyneside is seeking a Family Support Worker to provide trauma-informed, practical and emotional support to women and children in refuge.

You will develop and deliver a range of fun and creative activities for children and young people, 1-to-1 and group, and promote activities across the Refuge.

As a family partner alongside Children's Services, you will help complete Early Help Assessments and build links to services; female applicants only.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, practical and emotional support to women and children in refuge.
• Develop and deliver a range of fun and creative activities for children and young people to engage with both 1:1 and in groups and promote activities across the Refuge.
• Provide tailored support to all children and young people entering the service, working as a 'family partner' alongside Children's Services to complete Early Help Assessments and build links.
