Job summary

Staffline is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join the team across Peterborough/Milton Keynes. The role focuses on maintaining, servicing and repairing refrigeration equipment in customer locations, with on-call rotation and a salary of £51,287.99 including standby and SLA.

This is a permanent on-site position on a 40-hour week with a substantial door-to-door service contract. The ideal candidate will have time-served apprenticeship qualifications, refrigeration qualifications

Qualifications

• Time Served Apprenticeship and trade qualifications are required.
• NVQ/C&G Refrigeration qualification or equivalent is essential.
• Refrigerant handling certification (C&G 2079) or equivalent is required.
• Must hold a valid Skill Card and a full driving licence.
• Experience using a PDA system and reading technical drawings is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise maintenance and repair work to meet timescales.
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise on replacements.
• Ensure PPM schedules and paperwork are completed accurately.
• Keep technical and compliance documentation up to date.
• Order and fit parts per company procedures.
• Report issues to management to maintain store operations.
• Carry out surveys and prepare reports for refrigeration supervisor.
