Job summary

Staffline is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join the team across Peterborough/Milton Keynes. The role focuses on maintaining, servicing and repairing refrigeration equipment in customer locations, with on-call rotation and a salary of £51,287.99 including standby and SLA.

This is a permanent on-site position on a 40-hour week with a substantial door-to-door service contract. The ideal candidate will have time-served apprenticeship qualifications, refrigeration qualifications

Qualifications

Time Served Apprenticeship and trade qualifications are required.
NVQ/C&G Refrigeration qualification or equivalent is essential.
Refrigerant handling certification (C&G 2079) or equivalent is required.
Must hold a valid Skill Card and a full driving licence.
Experience using a PDA system and reading technical drawings is expected.

Responsibilities

Prioritise maintenance and repair work to meet timescales.
Identify non-repairable faults and advise on replacements.
Ensure PPM schedules and paperwork are completed accurately.
Keep technical and compliance documentation up to date.
Order and fit parts per company procedures.
Report issues to management to maintain store operations.
Carry out surveys and prepare reports for refrigeration supervisor.

Refrigeration Engineer

£51,287.99 (salary including on call standby 1:4 + 8% SLA)

My client is on the lookout for an experienced RefrigerationEngineerto join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

The role will involve maintaining, servicing and repairing Refrigeration Equipment in customer locations and provide assistance to HVAC equipment containing refrigeration circuits.

Key Responsibilities - Refrigeration Engineer

Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
Identify non-repairable faults promptly advise the Line manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacements.
To ensure PPM schedules are completed within agreed timescales and that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
Ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is always completed and up to date.
To order and fit parts or components as prescribed by company procedures.
To advise the GSMs of any repair, maintenance and installation issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the store and to build rapport and promote the spirit of partnership with all GSM's.
To carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the refrigeration supervisor/ RFM.
