Job summary

CSS Environmental Ltd is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join our mobile engineering team. The role covers a variety of commercial sites across London and the South East, delivering high-quality maintenance, fault-finding and commissioning work with excellent customer service.

You will work independently and as part of a team, on-call rota commitments, and benefit from ongoing training and a clear career path within a respected M&E company.

Qualifications

• F-Gas certification required.
• City & Guilds 2079 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Level 2 or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence mandatory.
• Experience with commercial refrigeration systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willing to participate in callout rota.
• Apprenticeship-trained background desirable.
• Experience across multiple manufacturers and system types.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform reactive repairs efficiently.
• Complete refrigeration installations, upgrades and commissioning.
• Perform system performance checks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Work across diverse sites including restaurants, retail, leisure and education.
• Use Cafty system to manage job sheets, reports and documentation.
• Deliver excellent customer service and represent CSS Environmental professionally on site.

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Refrigeration Engineer to join our growing mobile engineering team. This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer who takes pride in delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service across a variety of commercial sites. This opportunity would suit an engineer looking to join a reputable and growing business where they can develop their career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial refrigeration equipment
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out reactive breakdown repairs efficiently
• Completing refrigeration installations, upgrades, and commissioning work
• Carrying out system performance checks and ensuring compliance with current regulations
• Working across a variety of commercial sites, including restaurants, retail units, leisure facilities, and educational establishments
• Using the Cafty system to manage job sheets, reports, and job documentation
• Delivering excellent customer service while representing CSS Environmental professionally on site

What we're looking for:

• F-Gas Certification
• City & Guilds 2079 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Level 2 (or equivalent)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience working on commercial refrigeration systems
