Job summary

Stuart Harris Recruitment is seeking a Refrigeration Engineer for a growing business operating mainly in the Manchester area and the North West. You will handle breakdowns, servicing, PPM and reactive maintenance across food & hospitality sectors including outlets, pubs, cafes, universities, hospitals and colleges.

The role offers a negotiable salary with OTE £45,000-£55,000, call-out allowance, and performance bonus. A 40-hour week with overtime, 33 days’ holiday, and a company van are included.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial and integral refrigeration equipment.
• Knowledge of remote cold rooms, freezer rooms, cellar cooling and water-chilled applications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns and service calls across the Manchester region.
• PPM and reactive maintenance work.
• Liaise with customers in a friendly, professional manner.

Job description

We are actively recruiting for a Refrigeration Engineer for a successful and established business in Manchester.

As Refrigeration Engineer, you will be mainly be working in the Manchester area and the North West.

Duties:

• Breakdown and service calls, PPM and reactive maintenance
• Liaising with customers in a friendly and professional manner
• You will be working in the food & hospitality sectors e.g. food outlets, pubs, cafes, health & education establishments e.g. university sites, hospitals and colleges

- Salary negotiable *OTE £45,000-£55,000* + call out allowance + performance bonus

- Door to door pay (none of the half hour each way or deductions for travel time)

- Contracted to a 40 hour working week

- Overtime paid after 40 hours

- Overtime rates @ 1.5x / 2x

- 33 days holiday per annum

The ideal candidate must have experience of working in the following; all aspects of commercial and integral refrigeration equipment; remote cold-rooms & freezer rooms, cellar cooling equipment etc with a 'general knowledge' of water chilled applications. Aspects of air conditioning, such as split, multi-split & VRV/RF's.

Requirements:

- FGAS 2079

- Full UK driving licence

- Good fault finding skills

- Honest, punctual and trustworthy

- Takes pride in their work

- Participate in standby on a rota basis

- Installation experience preferred (but not essential)
