Job summary

HVAC Total FM Recruitment is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer with an installation bias to join our Birmingham team. You will service and install commercial refrigeration systems on retail and hospitality sites, with a strong focus on fault finding and regulatory compliance.

The role offers £45,000 salary, attendance bonus up to £1,200, annual performance bonus, company van, fuel card, tools, uniform, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent).
• F-Gas Category 1 certification.
• Experience working on commercial or supermarket refrigeration systems.
• Good knowledge of remote packs and control systems such as Danfoss and Carel.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Able to work independently with a professional, customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across retail and hospitality sites.
• Diagnose and repair faults on display cabinets, cold rooms, and pack systems.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with F-Gas regulations and health & safety standards.
• Complete electronic job reports accurately.
• Participate in the on-call rota (approximately 1 week in 6).
