Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Bristol is seeking an Assembly Operative for a temp-to-perm, full-time role. Based in Pucklechurch area, you will assemble refrigeration units from drawings, fit mechanical parts, and install insulation, using jib and gantry cranes where required.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, with a view to long-term employment. The successful candidate will be reliable, physically capable, and comfortable with manual handling.

Qualifications

• Good level of English for understanding instructions and safety briefings.
• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Comfortable with physical work and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble refrigeration units from existing designs.
• Follow engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Fit mechanical components.
• Use jib/gantry cranes to install compressors.
• Install insulation (lagging).
• Maintain quality standards and health & safety.
• Work to production schedules.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Identify discrepancies in drawings or components.
