Job summary

Calibre Search is working with a well-established service provider in the commercial refrigeration sector to recruit an experienced Refrigeration Engineer for Bristol/Newport. Qualifications

• Experience working on commercial refrigeration equipment.
• F‑Gas Certification (essential).
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (preferred).
• CO2 refrigeration experience is desirable but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Confident in diagnostics and fault finding.

We're working with a well-established and respected service provider in the commercial refrigeration sector, known for their reliability and technical expertise. With over 25 years in the industry, they support a diverse range of clients across retail, healthcare, education, and more.

Due to the retirement of a long-serving engineer, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join their solid and well-established team. This is a rare opportunity to become part of a business with excellent staff retention and a strong reputation within the industry.

The Role

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial refrigeration systems such as cold rooms, chillers, freezers, and display units.


• Carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working on commercial refrigeration equipment.


• F‑Gas Certification (essential).


• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (preferred).


• CO2 refrigeration experience is desirable but not essential.


• Full UK driving licence.


• Confident in diagnostics and fault finding.

The Package

• £43,680 basic salary


• £1,575 annual standby payments (1 in 6 call-out rota)


• Door-to-door travel paid


• 40-hour working week


• Overtime paid at 1.5x (Monday-Saturday) and 2x (Sundays & Bank Holidays)


• 33 days holiday (25 days + 8 Bank Holidays)
