Job summary

Empowered Personnel in Coventry is recruiting an experienced Assembly Operative to join a busy manufacturing team. The role involves assembling, finishing and preparing bespoke products, with a route to a permanent position after a successful 12-week temp-to-perm period.

You will work Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm, handling heavy materials, using hand and air tools, and upholding quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Assembly Operative in a manufacturing/assembly environment.
• Physically fit to lift and handle heavy or bulky materials.
• Counterbalance FLT licence desirable.
• Ability to use hand tools and air tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual and well organised.
• Good problem-solving and sound judgement.
• Able to work independently as well as in a small team.
• Adaptable and able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Handling, lifting and assembling heavy materials and products.
• Preparing, packing and palletising orders for despatch.
• Carrying out visual inspections and quality checks on components and finished products.
• Monitoring and maintaining stock levels in line with production requirements.
• Using hand and air tools, including paint guns, grinders and impact drivers.
• Reporting any faults or defects with products, tools or machinery to management.
• Assisting colleagues across various stages of the production process as required.
• Carrying out general production duties as required.
