Job summary

Pertemps Bristol Industrial is seeking reliable Assembly Operatives to join our production team in BS16. The role focuses on assembling refrigeration units to spec, following detailed drawings, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will be on a 5-day Monday to Friday shift (08:00-17:00), with manual handling duties throughout the shift. Prior manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred; English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Good level of English (essential for instructions & safety).
• Previous Manufacturing or assembly operative roles preferred.
• Reliable, punctual, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

• Assemble refrigeration units from existing designs.
• Follow engineering drawings and work instructions.

MANUFACTURING ASSEMBLY OPERATIVES NEEDED BS16

£12.71 per hour

Shift Pattern Monday - Friday 08:00-17:00

You’ll work a consistent 5-day monday - friday pattern :

We’re recruiting reliable Assembly Operatives

Your Duties Will Include:

• Industrial/Manufacturing (around 75–85%) The core responsibilities are production-focused: Assembling refrigeration units from existing designs.
• Following engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Fitting mechanical components.
• Using jib/gantry cranes to install compressors.
• Installing insulation (lagging).
• Maintaining quality standards and health & safety.
• Working to production schedules.
• These are typical manufacturing operative duties found in a factory or workshop.
• Technical Engineering (around 15–25%) There are some technical aspects: Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Identifying discrepancies in drawings or components.
• Understanding mechanical assemblies.
• Working with refrigeration equipment.
• Carrying out testing/inspection (preferred experience).
• These tasks require technical aptitude, but you're using engineering information, not creating it.
