Job summary

Cold Control Services Limited is seeking skilled Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Service Engineers to join our award-winning team. We provide installation, maintenance and repair for residential and commercial clients across the sector.

The successful candidate will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, perform refrigerant handling and recovery, and install, test and commission systems to industry standards. A valid UK driving license and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Service Engineer.
• Knowledge of commercial refrigeration, walk-in freezers, bottle coolers and ice machines.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
• Understanding refrigerant handling and recovery procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine service and maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and provide effective and timely repairs.
• Install, test, and commission new refrigeration and air conditioning systems according to industry standards and specifications.
• Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and recharging as required.
• Coordinate with clients to schedule service appointments and provide excellent customer service.
• Keep accurate records of service logs, equipment maintenance, and repairs performed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Collaborate with team members and contractors to complete projects and assignments within designated timeframes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

• Solid understanding of refrigerant handling and recovery procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Valid UK driver's license
• Relevant certifications, such as F-Gas, NVQ, or City & Guilds, are also required.
