Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is recruiting a Fabric Technician to join our on-site facilities team supporting a major refinery and office facilities in Southampton, UK. You will perform building fabric maintenance and plumbing tasks, with a focus on safety and high-quality service.

You will handle planned preventive and reactive maintenance, document activities in the CMMS, and collaborate with contractors while ensuring Health & Safety compliance on site.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing, Carpentry, Building Maintenance or related trade.
• Proven Fabric Technician/Building Maintenance experience.
• Practical plumbing experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Experience performing both PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Solid Health & Safety knowledge and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out building fabric repairs (doors, locks, windows, etc.).
• Carry out minor carpentry, painting, and patch repairs.
• Install/repair office furniture, fittings and signage.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing faults; handle leaks and drainage issues.
• Perform planned & reactive maintenance and maintain records in CMMS.
• Support health, safety, and compliance activities on site.
