Referral and Allocations Practitioner - Domestic Abuse

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Glow team, providing essential triage and administrative support to ensure the seamless delivery of our co-coordinated domestic abuse perpetrator services in Derbyshire.

Job requirements

  • Be the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, answering queries by phone, in person, and electronically.
  • Process referrals and use risk assessment tools to determine suitability for our services.
  • Organize meetings and rotas, take notes, prepare agendas, and order resources as needed.
  • Help the team by collecting data, doing research, and creating reports for service development and commissioner updates.
  • Ensure confidentiality by following GDPR and MOPI standards, securely sharing info and maintaining customer records.
  • Follow safeguarding practices for children, young people, and vulnerable adults to ensure their safety.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local and national agencies to improve service delivery.
  • Take charge of your professional growth by setting goals, attending training, and expanding your skills.
  • Work with colleagues to meet team, service, and organizational goals.

What we’re looking for

  • A genuine passion for helping others and an understanding of relationship abuse including the dynamics and behaviours displayed.
  • Great communication and listening skills as well as the confidence to ask questions and reiterate information to clarify understanding.
  • An understanding of risk and risk management practices.
  • A good level of literacy and numeracy to GCSE or equivalent level.
  • Good ICT skills including confidence using Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience working with private, confidential, and complex information and dealing with customer files and updating records.
  • Flexibility with great organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to be a team player who can work with others to get things done and a willingness to help and support colleagues.
  • A genuine compassion for people and deal with everyone as individuals without prejudice regardless of their background or circumstances.
  • A full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle suitable for business use.
  • Enhanced DBS check needed.
