Job description

You’ll work with the team to deliver high-quality support and accommodation to people fleeing domestic abuse, including their children. You will be the first point of contact for external inquiries, referrals, admissions, and residents residing in the refuge accommodation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure customers feel welcome when they first move in and are fully aware of the support available and their responsibilities.
  • Provide customer-focused practical and emotional support.
  • Manage referrals, conduct risk assessments, and assign accommodation based on customer needs.
  • Maintain safety and risk management plans to ensure the safety of customers and their families, while keeping accurate records.
  • Respond to issues or emergencies as the first point of contact at the refuge.
  • Assess safeguarding issues and respond appropriately, recording incidents accurately.
  • Support the team in meeting room turnover targets to prepare for new residents.
Candidate Requirements
  • A good standard of education, such as GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Good ICT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience handling personal data in line with GDPR.
  • A genuine understanding of people in abusive relationships, with excellent communication skills to provide support and ensure safety.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, with good time management and record-keeping skills.
  • Alignment with Honeycomb Group’s mission and values.
  • DBS check.
