Protocol Education Limited is seeking a qualified KS1 Year 1 teacher for a welcoming Teesside primary school. You’ll guide pupils through the Early Years to KS1 transition, delivering engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum and tracking progress.

The role emphasizes empathy, adaptability, and strong communication with parents and staff, with long-term, short-term, and temp-to-perm options available and weekly PAYE pay.

A welcoming primary school in Teesside is searching for a brilliant Year 1 Teacher to guide pupils through that all-important reception-to-Year 1 leap. You’ll be their anchor as they adjust, grow, and start building confidence as ‘big kids’ in the classroom.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Creating a classroom where learning is fun, structured, and full of encouragement

• Supporting children through the transition from Early Years to KS1

• Delivering lessons across the full KS1 curriculum—helping each child hit their milestones

• Marking meaningfully and tracking progress to celebrate growth (and spot when extra support’s needed)

• Keeping the lines of communication open—with parents, staff, and the wider team

What We’re Looking For:

• QTS and experience teaching in KS1 (particularly Year 1)

• A creative, flexible approach to planning and delivery

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
