Job summary

Manpower UK seeks a Yard Operative for a temporary assignment in Stourbridge, West Midlands. The role involves supporting daily operations at a recycling facility, with duties including receiving food waste deliveries, goods-in checks, tyre and machinery cleaning, and general yard labour.

The position is Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm, offering a hands-on, outdoor, physically demanding environment. Immediate starts are available for suitable applicants.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling duties throughout the day.
• Reliable, hardworking, and health and safety conscious.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Previous experience in a labouring, yard operative, or recycling role would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and processing food waste deliveries.
• Completing goods-in checks and signing off deliveries.
• Cleaning vehicle tyres and heavy plant machinery before they leave site.
• General labouring duties across the yard and site.
• Litter picking and maintaining site cleanliness.
• Cleaning spillages and ensuring a safe working environment.
• Supporting site operations as required.
