Location: North West UK (on-site at 50,000 sq ft facility)

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8am till 5pm (occasional weekends if required)

Coggin Sustainable Office Solutions (Coggin SOS) is a rapidly growing business focused on reuse, refurbishment, and recycling of office furniture across the UK. We work with SMEs and national partners in fit-out, removals, and facilities management to provide sustainable office clearance and quality reused products.

Operating from a large site with warehouse, workshop, and recycling compound, we are looking for a reliable, hands-on Recycling & Warehouse Supervisor to lead the back-end of our recycling operation and support the warehouse team.

Role Overview

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and recycling yard, supervising operatives, and ensuring recycling jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This is a physical, hands-on role, but with leadership responsibility, you're the point of accountability for your team and a key link between delivery and operations management.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Yard Supervision

• Supervise a small team of operatives (currently 2–3 people)
• Plan daily workload based on jobs and incoming/outgoing stock
• Manage unloading, sorting, and storage of used office furniture
• Ensure clear movement of goods between storage, refurb and dispatch areas

Recycling Operations

• Oversee safe operation of the plastic shredding line and breakdown area
• Lead on processing surplus items from clients, partners and trade jobs
• Maintain zero-landfill standards by sorting, reusing or prepping furniture parts for recycling
• Identify items suitable for resale or refurb and communicate with sales/ops team

Health & Safety

• Ensure H&S standards are upheld in all warehouse and yard areas
• Complete and maintain basic risk assessments with support from Ops Manager
• Oversee PPE, manual handling and compliance for operatives

Logistics & Support

• Support loading and unloading of deliveries
• Organise warehouse layout and storage for efficient access
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe site across all warehouse/recycling areas
• Liaise with Operations Manager for planning and performance updates

What You’ll Need

• Previous experience in a warehouse, yard or site supervisor role
• Ability to lead by example and hold team members to high standards
• Hands-on attitude, not afraid to get involved in physical work
• Forklift licence (preferred, not essential)
• Experience with recycling, facilities or removals/logistics work is a bonus
• Confident communicator and team player
• Reliable, punctual and proactive
