Job summary

Global Ardour Recycling in Preston is recruiting a Recycling Operative to join the team at our Preston Recycling Park. The role involves sorting and picking recyclables and supporting production lines in a busy outdoor yard environment.

We are seeking candidates who are reliable, with good attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety. Experience with FLT is a plus, and all roles require adherence to environmental policies.

Qualifications

• Experience on a picking line.

• FLT experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Sort and pick recyclable materials.
• Work on all production lines as required.
• Communicate well with colleagues and follow instructions.
• Assist in other areas of the business as needed.
• Depollute End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs).
• Remove catalytic converters from vehicles, tyres and batteries.
• Perform FLT duties if experienced.
• Banksman duties where required.
• Manual lifting on a daily basis.
• Maintain environmental and health & safety compliance.
• Keep the area clean and tidy.

Role:Recycling Operative

Location:Preston

Hours: 48 per week between 7:30pm-7:30am

Shifts:Monday – Thursday (12 hour shifts)

The Role:

We are looking to recruit an experienced Recycling Operative with to join our established team based at our Recycling Park in Preston.

What you will be doing:

• To sort and pick through recyclable materials
• To carry out duties and to work on all the production lines as required
• Working closely with others, ensuring good communication and following instructions
• To assist in other areas of the business such as :
• Undertaking the depollution of End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs)
• Removing of catalytic convertors from vehicles
• Removing tyres
• Removal of batteries
• FLT duties (if experienced)
• Banksman duties
• Manual work with heavy lifting involved
• Ensuring compliance with environmental and health and safety policy and rules
• Maintaining good housekeeping practices ensuring area is always clean and tidy
