Michelle Waterworth Recruitment is seeking a Recruitment Consultant specialising in MedTech, Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Biotechnology and Life Sciences. This fully remote role is UK-based, with visits to the Yorkshire/Midlands office and a strong client network across the UK and international markets.

You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, develop your desk, and benefit from an uncapped commission structure, with a clear progression path to Senior Recruitment Consultant, Team

Qualifications

• Fee-earning recruitment experience is essential.
• MedTech/Life Sciences recruitment experience is advantageous.
• Proven billing track record with client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing a specialist recruitment desk within MedTech and Life Sciences.
• Building long-term relationships with clients and candidates in the UK and international markets.
• Managing the full recruitment lifecycle from BD through to placement and account management.
• Working on retained, exclusive and contingent assignments.
• Sourcing, interviewing and presenting high-calibre candidates for permanent/contract roles.
• Growing existing client accounts and identifying new business opportunities.
• Maintaining a consultative approach to candidate and client management.

Recruitment Consultant - MedTech, Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Biotechnology & Life Sciences

Location: Remote (UK Based) with visits to Yorkshire/Midland Office

Salary: Up to £55,000 Basic + Car Allowance + Excellent Commission & Career Progression

A leading global recruitment business specialising in the MedTech and Life Sciences sectors is seeking an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join its growing team.

The successful Recruitment Consultant will be responsible for managing and developing their own desk across the MedTech, Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Biotechnology, HealthTech, Pharmaceutical and wider Life Sciences markets. You will work with clients and candidates across both the UK and international markets, building long-term relationships and delivering high-quality recruitment solutions.

This role offers significant autonomy, the support of an experienced leadership team and a clear pathway to Senior Recruitment Consultant, Team Leadership or Directorship for high performers.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and developing a specialist recruitment desk within the MedTech and Life Sciences sectors.
• Building long-term relationships with clients and candidates across the UK and global markets.
• Managing the full recruitment lifecycle from business development through to placement and account management.
• Working on a mix of retained, exclusive and contingent assignments.
• Sourcing, interviewing and presenting high-calibre candidates for permanent and contract opportunities.
• Growing existing client accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
• Maintaining a consultative approach to candidate and client management.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a fee-earning Recruitment Consultant role is essential.
• Recruitment experience gained in any sector will be considered, although interest in MedTech, Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Biotechnology, HealthTech, Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences recruitment would be advantageous.
• A proven track record of billing success and developing client relationships.
• Experience managing the full recruitment process from vacancy qualification through to placement.
• Strong business development, networking and candidate sourcing skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working successfully within a fully remote environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
