Contract Scotland is seeking a Recruitment Resourcer to join our growing team in Scotland. You will support a Senior Recruitment Consultant in the Building & Construction sector, focusing on candidate sourcing, outreach and relationship building across the industry.
You don't need previous recruitment experience. This role offers comprehensive training, hybrid working, and a pathway to develop specialist knowledge within a supportive, values-driven consultancy.
Build a career in recruitment with Contract Scotland
Contract Scotland is a recruitment consultancy that was established to challenge how the recruitment industry works and set a new standard for the service we provide. We don't operate a traditional target and commission model. Instead, we focus on providing our customers with a transparent recruitment service that delivers genuine value and lasting impact to their lives and businesses. We're proud of what we've built, and as we continue to grow, we're looking to add to our existing team.
So, what exactly is a Recruitment Resourcer? Sometimes called a Candidate Consultant or Researcher, you'll be working closely alongside our Senior Recruitment Consultant within the Building & Construction sector, helping them identify, engage and connect with talented people across the construction industry.
Our Senior Recruitment Consultant is an expert in his field of construction. You'll work closely together day to day, learning directly from someone who knows the industry, understands the people within it and has spent years building relationships and delivering successful recruitment campaigns.
You won't be expected to know the construction industry or recruitment inside out when you join. You'll have someone alongside you who can share their knowledge, guide you through the process and help you develop your own skills and expertise. You'll play an important role throughout the recruitment process, with a particular focus on finding, engaging and developing relationships with candidates.
The main difference between this and a traditional Recruitment Consultant role is that your focus will be on the candidate side of recruitment, rather than selling our services to employers and developing client relationships. It's a people‑focused role that requires curiosity, good communication skills and an interest in understanding what makes people tick.
We want to give you the best possible start and the tools to build a successful career in recruitment.
You don't need previous recruitment experience. We'd be delighted to hear from people looking to get into the industry, although any existing recruitment experience would be welcome. Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail or another people‑focused environment would be particularly useful. You'll be communicating with a wide range of people every day, whether by telephone, online meetings, face to face or email.
We believe in looking after our people and offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
We act as an employment agency for permanent work and as an employment business for temporary work.
For roles in the UK, applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
We value diversity and promote equality. No terminology in this advert is intended to discriminate against any of the protected characteristics that fall under the Equality Act 2010.
