Job summary

Pact is seeking a Recruitment Officer to join our HR team and help us recruit values-driven people for roles supporting prisoners and their families. You will post vacancies, screen applications, and support pre-employment checks, ensuring a smooth candidate experience.

Working closely with the HR team and external consultants, you will help develop recruitment strategies, generate reports, and contribute to safeguarding and safer recruitment in line with UK GDPR.

Qualifications

• Experience of administration in recruitment or HR environments.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage several campaigns.
• Experience using an applicant tracking system or HRIS.
• Knowledge of safer recruitment and UK GDPR.
• Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Post vacancies on our ATS and job boards and keep hiring managers updated on applications.
• Help develop recruitment strategies, employer branding and outreach to under-represented groups.
• Produce routine recruitment data and reports.
• Review references, right to work and DBS checks.
• Sign off payroll for new starters.
• Support onboarding and internal moves.
