Job summary

Birmingham City University is recruiting a Recruitment Events Assistant to join the Department Outreach and Partnerships. You will support in-person and virtual events to promote the university to prospective students, and contribute to off-campus engagement at higher education recruitment fairs.

The role suits someone with an events background, who is organised and detail-oriented, able to coordinate bookings, work with internal teams and external partners, and help train student ambassadors

Qualifications

• Background in events and experience coordinating in-person and virtual events.
• Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience supporting university recruitment events such as UCAS, WhatUni and postgraduate fairs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate events including making bookings and liaising with organisers and attendees.
• Provide on-the-day support and troubleshoot to ensure events run smoothly.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for major recruitment events.
• Support off-campus events and university fairs (UCAS, WhatUni, postgraduate fairs).
• Assist Recruitment Events Manager to ensure large scale activities run concurrently and staff levels of ambassadors are appropriate.
• Assist in training and supervising student ambassadors for events.
