On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Recruitment Coordinator on an initial 12-month contract. As the Recruitment Coordinator, you will have full ownership of candidate pipelines and partner directly with hiring managers to drive efficient, high-quality hiring across the business.

Security Clearance: DBS required to start, must be able to gain full SC
Responsibilities
- Manage the full candidate lifecycle from initial brief and job posting through to candidate selection, offer generation, pre-onboarding and Induction.
- Direct source candidate pipelines using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, professional networks, and targeted candidate search strategies.
- Screen, shortlist, and conduct initial phone/video interviews to evaluate candidate suitability, experience, and cultural alignment.
- Coordinate, schedule and attend interview panels, ensuring a smooth and responsive experience for all applicants.
- Act as a trusted recruiter to key stakeholders, department heads, and senior managers, leading intake meetings to understand hiring requirements and define candidate profiles.
- Guide and coach hiring managers on best-practice interviewing techniques, selection tools, and inclusive hiring methods.
- Provide regular status updates, recruitment metrics, and market intelligence to senior leadership to manage expectations around candidate availability and timelines.
- Utilise Workday/myPulse to manage the entire recruitment workflow, ensuring accurate requisition tracking, candidate movement, status updates, and compliance.
- Maintain data integrity within Workday, ensuring all recruitment activities adhere to internal governance and data protection standards (GDPR).
- Conduct occasional travel to our site at RAF Shawbury (typically 1-2 times per month) to support localised hiring needs, build face-to-face relationships with regional hiring managers, and represent the Recruitment function on-site.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience verifying candidate educational backgrounds, technical certifications, and specialised licences (e.g., engineering indentures, technical apprenticeships, or specialised operational ratings).
- Understanding of standard UK pre-employment screening and security clearance requirements (e.g., BPSS / SC Clearance) relevant to defense or secure operational environments
- Degree level education (or equivalent professional experience). CIPD qualification in Human Resources or in-house recruitment is desirable.
- Knowledge of Workday would be highly desirable
