Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group in Kettering is seeking a Construction Recruitment Consultant to manage and grow a desk specialising in construction professionals across temporary, contract and permanent placements.

You will build relationships with site and project managers, source candidates, and develop new business while working with an established construction recruitment team.

Qualifications

• Proven recruitment experience, preferably within construction or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of the construction recruitment market.
• Experience within temporary, contract or permanent roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with construction companies, contractors, developers and specialist building businesses.
• Identify new business opportunities and actively grow your client portfolio.
• Source, interview and qualify construction professionals across your specialist market.
• Manage the recruitment process from initial vacancy through to successful placement.
• Build and maintain a strong network of reliable, skilled construction candidates.
• Recruit across a variety of roles, including Site Managers, Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Site Engineers, Groundworkers, Labourers and skilled trades.
• Respond quickly to urgent and high-volume construction requirements.
• Understand client projects, workforce requirements, site demands, skills shortages and market conditions.
• Negotiate rates and terms with both clients and candidates.
• Maintain regular contact with placed candidates and clients to ensure strong ongoing relationships.
• Ensure all candidates meet the relevant compliance, site safety and right-to-work requirements.
• Work towards and exceed weekly and monthly activity and billing targets.
• Develop your knowledge of the construction market and become recognised as a specialist within your sector.

The Role

As a Construction Recruitment Consultant, you'll manage and develop your own client and candidate portfolio, specialising in the recruitment of construction professionals across temporary, contract and permanent positions.

You’ll be responsible for developing new business, strengthening existing client relationships and building a reliable network of high-quality construction candidates.

From speaking with Site Managers and Project Managers to sourcing skilled tradespeople, labourers, groundworkers and construction professionals, you’ll become a trusted point of contact for clients who need the right people, at the right time.

You’ll have the freedom to develop your market, backed by the infrastructure, reputation and support of an established recruitment business.
