Job summary

Siamo Recruitment a division of Siamo Group in Ashby-de-la-Zouch is seeking a driven Recruitment Consultant to own a local desk. You will manage end-to-end recruitment for temporary and permanent roles, combining proactive BD with candidate sourcing to deliver high-quality solutions.

Expect on-site client meetings, market research, and a focus on branch growth. Role features a Monday–Friday schedule, competitive base salary with commission, and opportunities to build lasting client relationships

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Recruitment Consultant.
• Strong business development skills including cold outreach and client growth.
• Experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle (360 desk).
• Excellent candidate sourcing and networking abilities.
• Solid understanding of UK employment and data protection considerations.

Responsibilities

• Proactively generate new business in the Ashby-de-la-Zouch area through calls, visits, networking and market outreach.
• Manage the full 360 recruitment lifecycle from client engagement to placement.
• Source, screen and interview candidates across multiple channels.
• Build and maintain consultative relationships with clients and understand their recruitment needs.
• Conduct market research to identify opportunities and shape recruitment strategy.
• Maintain compliant records and documentation per UK law and internal processes.
• Attend client meetings on-site and present recruitment solutions.
• Work toward and monitor branch sales targets and pipeline.

Siamo Recruitment is offering an excellent opportunity for a driven, sales-focused Recruitment Consultant to play a key role in the continued growth of our Ashby branch. About the Role

As a Recruitment Consultant based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, you will manage the full end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for temporary and permanent placements across the local market. You will combine proactive business development with effective candidate sourcing and talent mapping to deliver high-quality recruitment solutions. Operating as a trusted partner to clients, you will ensure compliant, efficient processes that support long-term relationships and sustained branch growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively generate new business in the Ashby-de-la-Zouch area through cold calling, sales visits, networking and market outreach.
• Manage the full 360 recruitment lifecycle, from initial client engagement and vacancy briefing through to offer management and placement.
• Source, screen and interview candidates using a range of channels, including job boards, social media, referrals and talent mapping techniques.
• Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring a clear understanding of their recruitment needs.
• Conduct market research and utilise local labour market knowledge to identify opportunities, inform client discussions and shape recruitment strategies.
• Maintain accurate, compliant records and documentation in line with UK employment and data protection law and internal processes.
• Attend client meetings on-site, present recruitment solutions and identify further business development opportunities.
• Work towards individual and branch sales targets, regularly reviewing performance and pipeline to maximise revenue and placements.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Recruitment Consultant, ideally in a 360, sales-focused environment.
• Demonstrable success in business development, including cold calling and converting new clients.
• Strong candidate sourcing skills, with the ability to build and manage talent pipelines for permanent roles.
• Solid understanding of the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, from briefing to onboarding.
• Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Working knowledge of UK employment and data protection law in a recruitment context.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify and act on local market opportunities.
• Self-motivated, proactive and target-driven, comfortable working to KPIs and revenue goals.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Desirable Skills

• Experience recruiting within the local Ashby-de-la-Zouch or wider East Midlands labour market.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and recruitment technology platforms.
• Experience in talent mapping for niche or hard-to-fill roles.
• Track record of growing an existing branch or desk through strategic business development.
