Job summary

I Care (Gb) Limited is seeking a Recruitment & Retention Officer to attract, engage and retain exceptional care staff across our services. The role is office-based at our Blackpool Head Office, offering a permanent full-time contract and 37.5 hours per week.

You will lead end-to-end recruitment activities, build strong stakeholder relationships, and drive retention initiatives. A driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for multi-location coverage.

Qualifications

  • Previous recruitment experience.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Experience sourcing candidates through multiple channels.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience building effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging, high-impact job adverts that attract quality candidates.
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, recruitment fairs, networking opportunities, and campaigns.
  • Build partnerships with Hiring Managers and support recruitment planning across locations.
  • Deliver an outstanding candidate experience from application to onboarding.
  • Arrange interviews and provide recruitment guidance to managers.
  • Conduct pre-employment checks, references and right-to-work checks.
  • Ensure onboarding requirements and training are completed.
  • Produce recruitment reports and analyse trends.
  • Develop relationships with Job Centres, colleges and community organisations.
  • Attend and organise recruitment events and job fairs.
  • Conduct exit interviews and support retention initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Recruitment & Retention Officer, you'll take a leading role in ensuring ICare attracts and retains exceptional talent across our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create engaging, high-impact job adverts that attract quality candidates.
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, recruitment fairs, networking opportunities, and innovative recruitment campaigns.
  • Build strong partnerships with Hiring Managers and support recruitment planning across multiple locations.
  • Deliver an outstanding candidate experience from application through to onboarding.
  • Arrange interviews and provide recruitment guidance to operational managers.
  • Conduct pre-employment checks, references, right-to-work checks, and compliance processes.
  • Ensure candidates complete onboarding requirements and mandatory training.
  • Produce recruitment reports and analyse recruitment trends.
  • Develop relationships with Job Centres, colleges, community organisations, and local employment providers.
  • Attend and organise recruitment events and job fairs.
  • Conduct exit interviews and support retention initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and reducing turnover.
