  • Proactively source and attract top-tier candidates for BMJV.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines aligned with hiring needs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in recruitment.
  • Provide coaching to hiring managers on recruitment best practices.
  • Advertise roles across the project to maximise visibility.
  • Collate offer documents with hiring managers and ensure accuracy.
  • Oversee the offer process with parent companies and timely processing.
  • Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment experience.
  • Promote BMJV values in recruitment and strengthen EVP.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives within recruitment.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion in candidate pools.
  • Engage in continuous improvement to enhance candidate experience.

The Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) is one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. LTC is a new road that will connect Kent and Essex through a tunnel beneath the River Thames and will be the greenest road ever built in the UK - creating six times more green space than road. The reliable new route will almost double road capacity over the river east of London to reduce congestion and give millions of people more choice on where they live, work and spend their valuable time.

Job Purpose

As a Recruitment Advisor, you will be responsible for directly sourcing construction and supporting functional talent for BMJV, primarily focusing on white-collar employees. You will play a crucial role in building a strong understanding of the project and future needs, supporting the project in developing talent pipelines, assessing talent, and ensuring that our recruitment processes are effective and efficient.

Talent Acquisition And Sourcing
  • Act as the key recruitment contact for the project
  • Work hand in hand with HR Lead to provide a tailored recruitment service to the project.
  • Collaborate with the project to design and execute targeted talent acquisition strategies.
  • Proactively source and attract top-tier candidates to fulfil the recruitment needs of BMJV
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines, ensuring alignment with current and future hiring needs.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance the recruitment function.
  • Provide coaching to hiring managers on recruitment best practices
Recruitment Administration
  • Advertise roles across the project, ensuring optimal visibility and engagement to attract high-quality talent.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to collate offer documents, ensuring that all offer letters and associated paperwork are accurate and complete.
  • Oversee the offer process with parent companies, ensuring seamless communication and timely processing of all offers.
  • Provide ongoing support to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process to ensure an efficient and effective hiring experience.
Employer Branding And Diversity
  • Uphold and promote the values of BMJV throughout the recruitment process, ensuring alignment with our project culture.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of our recruitment systems, supporting ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strengthen the employer value proposition (EVP) and employment brand to attract the highest calibre candidates.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a broad and diverse pool of candidates.
Continuous Improvement
  • Work on continuous improvement projects to ensure that the recruitment team delivers the best possible solutions to the project and a high level candidate experience.

  • In depth previous recruitment experience with an agency or in house.
