Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a fixed term Parent-Infant Therapist trainee post. This Band 6 level role supports families and infants, with training across the CYP mental health pathway and Video Interaction Guidance (VIG).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a core profession in Infant Mental Health/Early years/Family work.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent (Level 6) required.
• Willing to undertake the Recruit to Train postgraduate programme with university-based taught and self-study days.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality parent-infant relationship assessments and interventions.
• Deliver a range of psychotherapeutic interventions for infants and families.
• Manage a defined caseload and coordinate with MDT and external agencies.
• Develop risk management and liaison with diverse services to support care plans.
• Participate in supervision and training activities including Video Interaction Guidance (VIG).
