Job summary

Parkwood Leisure Limited is seeking a Recreation Assistant at Totnes Leisure Centre to help members stay safe and enjoy the facilities. You’ll be at the heart of the action, leading and participating in activities with a focus on customer service and safety.

The role is 12 hours per week, permanent, with training provided if you don’t already hold a national pool lifeguarding qualification. A friendly, professional environment and benefits await.

• Help our members stay safe and healthy when using our wet side facilities
• Be attentive and alert at all times
• Create a friendly, relaxed and professional environment
• Welcome and support members when using the facilities
• Pay close attention to safety and respond to incidents straight away
• Ensure Pool Safety Guidelines are followed at all times
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effective interaction across all levels of the organisation.

As a Lifeguard at our Centre, a national pool lifeguarding qualification is preferred, however, comprehensive training in all aspects of the role will be provided to successful candidates.
