Job summary

Freedom Leisure is seeking a Lifeguard to help deliver safe, welcoming, and high-quality leisure experiences across our centres. The role is 37 hours per week on a rota basis, with training provided to reach NPLQ and to engage with customers of all ages.

You must swim competently; our swim teachers will help you reach the required standard. Benefits include a company pension, cycle-to-work, staff membership, EAP, training and development, and more.

• Demonstrated passion and energy for the leisure industry

Responsibilities

• In the role of Lifeguard, you will ensure the best levels of service are achieved for our customers through offering a friendly, clean and safe facilities
• You will contribute to a welcoming environment and assist with supervising pool safety and customer assistance
• You will participate in training and development to maintain high standards across Freedom Leisure centres

We will provide all the training needed to be a successful Lifeguard but we also believe that employing people from a mix of employment backgrounds can offer a wider benefit to our team, some of which might be in their first ever job and need more support from their colleagues.

We’re not looking for the next Duncan Goodhew but you will need to be able to swim competently. If you need extra coaching to get to the level needed to become a lifeguard, don’t worry as one of our excellent swim teachers will be able to support you to improve.

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Sunday (Rota basis)
