Job summary

Places for People, through Places Leisure, is seeking a Recreation Assistant to help keep the centre safe, welcoming and well organized. You will support cleaning duties, prepare activity areas for sessions and ensure equipment is stored securely, working closely with the Duty Manager.

Qualifications

• Friendly and approachable with ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Experience with first aid is preferred.
• Experience in cleaning and maintaining equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety of the centre at all times and carry out cleaning duties.
• Prepare activity areas for planned sessions.
• Ensure equipment is stored safely when not in use.

More about your role

As a Recreation Assistant it will be your responsibility to maintain the Health and Safety of the centre at all times including carrying out cleaning duties and preparing activity areas for all planned sessions. You will make sure all of the Centres equipment is stored in a safe and secure way when not being used. You will work alongside the Duty Manager and report any matters of concern and carry out patrols.

More about you

The successful applicant will have a friendly, approachable manner and deliver excellent customer service to our customers. You will assist with first aid when required so ideally have some experience. You will ideally have worked within a similar role. Experience carrying out some cleaning duties and maintaining equipment would set you apart from other candidates.
