Job summary

Gordon Moody in Redditch is seeking a Recovery Worker to support residents through rehabilitation and ongoing recovery. You will work closely with residents, therapists, and partner agencies to tailor care plans and ensure individuals receive the necessary support to recover and thrive.

The role requires experience in addiction services, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it), and a compassionate approach to helping vulnerable people.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Experience supporting individuals in recovery-focused settings.
• Ability to work with vulnerable people with empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support and coordinate individual care plans.
• Help residents register with GPs, access benefits, and attend appointments.
• Facilitate and support recovery-focused group sessions.
• Carry out health and safety checks, room inductions, and drug/alcohol testing.
• Liaise with external services to ensure smooth transitions after treatment.
• Keep accurate records using the care management system.
