Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited in Coventry (CV1) is seeking a compassionate Recovery Worker for a 3-month temporary cover. The role is 37.5 hours per week and will involve working with a multi-disciplinary team to support service users through treatment and recovery.

The position offers pay between £16 and £22 per hour (umbrella), depending on direct recovery experience, and requires you to carry a caseload, conduct assessments, use motivational interviewing, and coordinate care with partners.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from initial engagement through to recovery.
• Complete screening, assessments, risk assessments and recovery plans.
• Manage an allocated caseload and monitor service user progress.
• Use motivational interviewing and recovery-focused approaches.
• Coordinate care and make appropriate onward referrals.
• Promote recovery, resilience, independence and social reintegration.
• Provide harm-reduction advice, including overdose prevention and Naloxone support.
• Develop links with recovery, mutual-aid and community groups.
• Work with prescribing clinicians, GPs, health services and partner agencies.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality and safeguarding requirements.

Pay Rates - Dependent on Direct Recovery Experience

• Less than 12 months: £16-£18 per hour (umbrella)
• 1-3 years: £18-£20 per hour (umbrella)
• 3+ years: Up to £22 per hour (umbrella)

About the Role
