WithYou in Darlington at STRIDE provides free and confidential services, without judgement, to adults and young people facing challenges with drugs and alcohol. As a Recovery Worker you will be providing support and advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse. You will be working within a highly skilled and knowledgeable multi-disciplinary team who will support you in your development and your ability to deliver the best care you can to our clients.
Our Recovery Workers play a vital role in supporting clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions. You’ll work with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to guide them on their path to recovery.
This is a frontline role at WithYou, where you will provide continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connecting quickly with clients and ensuring they’re always treated with respect and dignity.
This role is full time and permanent, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. As a Recovery Worker, we offer a starting salary of £26,250 per annum, rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, to £30,900 per annum. We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. You will have demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, or a clear motivation for wanting to work in the drug and alcohol sector. A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential.
You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage your time effectively. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained. You will also have a proven ability to carry out comprehensive assessments, assess risk, devise care plans and deliver evidence based interventions.
