At Hestia, we are guided by our core values and are dedicated to fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive organisation. Our mission is to empower individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve independence. Right now, we are looking for a Recovery Worker to play a pivotal role in our Complex Needs Service in Ealing.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

You will be supporting service users with complex needs to build independence and take control of their wellbeing, facilitating their recovery and supporting them on their journey. This service currently requires people to "sleep in" at the service. You will be dealing with incidents and recording your interactions with service users.

What do I need to bring with me?

You'll need to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please mention this on your application.

Here's what the team will be looking for:

We are seeking people with either experience supporting individuals with mental health issues or a Psychology qualification with some applied experience supporting people in person. You need to have a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and put service users first. We operate a trauma-informed and service user-led support function which requires good empathy and an open mind.

Interview Steps

We keep our interview process simple, so you know exactly what to expect:

  • Shortlisting call: Our recruitment specialists will speak to you about your experience, motivations, and values, and tell you about the great work we do!
  • Face-to-face interview: You will have an interview with the hiring manager. Our interviews are value and competency-based.

There may be additional stages, but they are all part of our standard process for some roles.

Our commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

Our service users come from diverse backgrounds, and so do we. We hire from a wide variety of backgrounds because it strengthens us. We are committed to creating and maintaining a diverse and inclusive workforce, valuing the skills, abilities, talent, and experiences different people and communities bring.

We are a disability confident employer

Hestia is proud to be a disability confident employer, dedicated to the employment and career development of individuals with disabilities. We offer a guaranteed interview scheme for applicants with disabilities who meet the minimum criteria. Reasonable adjustments are provided during the selection, interview, and throughout employment.
