A leading health and social care provider is seeking a Wellbeing Recovery Worker in Westminster to conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients facing substance use challenges. We are currently recruiting for a Wellbeing Recovery Worker to work in our assessment team. The Assessor at a drug and alcohol service is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of clients to determine their needs and appropriate level of care.
This role involves evaluating clients' substance use, mental health status, and social circumstances to develop individualized treatment plans. You would be working with multiple Service Users for short bursts, completing assessments before they were allocated to a Wellbeing Worker for ongoing care.
As a Wellbeing Recovery Worker we offer a starting salary of £27,377+ £3,633 IWL rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, rising to £32,026+ £3,633 ILWper year.(Dependent on experience you may be offered a starting salary above the initial starting salary).

This will be an office-based role with potential outreach to community settings. You will have regular interaction with clients who may be experiencing distress or crisis and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare and social service professionals will be required.

You’ll have an understanding of substance and alcohol use and the challenges and opportunities for individuals on a recovery journey. However, we also recognise that many people have transferrable skills from other backgrounds such as mental health, housing or other health and social care provision. The roles are varied, so flexibility, an ability to work dynamically on a one to one and group basis and knowledge of relapse and other barriers to recovery will be vital but we can help to shape these skills where needed. We also look for candidates with excellent communication skills and who share our values as an organisation. We value individuals with lived experience but also those who are just interested in this line of work; our Trainee Recovery Worker program enables individuals without all relevant experience to gain an entry level position within the organisation before moving on to other roles.
