Job summary

• Deliver a range of recreational activities accessible to service users.
• Help individuals exercise choice in how to structure their time.
• Provide enjoyment and satisfaction through participation in current interests or new activities.
• Develop and support service users to engage in programmes of physical and creative activity across the unit.
• Engage service users in group or individual sessions; work with nursing and occupational therapy teams to contribute to a 7-day programme including evenings.
• Encourage self-occupation and autonomous activity.
• Support service users during treatment by promoting activity for mental health and offering emotional and functional support.
