We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and experienced leader to join our staff as a Recovery Team Manager at our mental health supported living service in Leicester.
As the Team Manager, you will ensure that our services are delivered effectively in accordance with assessed needs, contract requirements, quality standards, and outcomes. You will work to assess service users’ needs and plan a successful transition into the service, creating the foundations for greater independence and personal fulfillment. Some of the people moving into this service will be young, moving from other placements, or may not have held a tenancy previously. You will ensure these individuals are enabled to make progress in their personal recovery journey, and attain goals relating to their mental health & wellbeing, independence, maintenance of their tenancy, quality of life, and community connections. This will be achieved through co-producing outcome-based support plans which build on strengths and assets and promote meaningful occupation, resilience and capacity for self-management.
You will promote a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, with a strong commitment to equality and diversity. You will ensure staff are skilled in promoting recovery and positive engagement, building relationships based on respect and unconditional positive regard. You will be committed to community asset-based approaches and be able to collaborate creatively with community partners, as our delivery model is characterised by the use of volunteers and peer supporters, as well as paid staff and by close partnership working with statutory mental health services and voluntary agencies.
A professional mental health or social care qualification, or a relevant degree (such as psychology) is also essential.
You will be warm & emotionally intelligent, with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with our service users, their families, and partner agencies. You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of mental health needs & conditions, recovery principles, and helpful interventions. You will have skills in promoting independence, tenancy sustainment, and positive risk management, and be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate staff and promote effective team work. You will also need strong verbal and written communication, with confident IT skills, as you will be responsible for collating data & using electronic monitoring, as well as writing assessments, reports, and support plans.
