Job summary

CrossReach is seeking a compassionate Recovery Worker to support adults on their journey to recovery from substance use in Scotland. The role involves one-to-one and group support, developing personalised recovery plans, and liaising with families and partner agencies.

A PVG check and SSSC registration are required, and applicants should be prepared to work flexibly including evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will have experience in similar care settings and ideally hold SVQ Level

Qualifications

Experience supporting adults in recovery from substance use or similar care setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; non-judgmental and empathetic approach.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
Willingness to work towards SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care if not already held.

Responsibilities

Build trusting relationships with individuals in recovery and understand their needs and aspirations.
Develop and implement personalised recovery plans using therapeutic interventions and relapse prevention tools.
Collaborate with families, carers, and partner agencies to ensure joined‑up care.
Keep accurate records and support service development.
