Job summary

CrossReach in Scotland is seeking a compassionate Recovery Worker to support adults recovering from substance use. You will provide practical and emotional support, helping individuals set goals and develop strategies for long-term recovery.

The role involves one-to-one work, group activities, and collaboration with other professionals. Applicants should have experience in care settings, strong communication, and an empathetic approach, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals affected by substance use or in a similar care setting.
• SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to adults on their recovery journey.
• Develop personalised recovery plans using therapeutic interventions and relapse prevention tools.
• Coordinate with families, carers and partner agencies to ensure joined-up care.
• Keep accurate records and contribute to ongoing service development.
