Job summary

CrossReach is seeking a Recovery Worker to support adults on their journey to recovery from substance use, delivering compassionate, person‑centred care and practical help.

You will work with individuals, families and partner agencies to develop recovery plans, maintain records and provide flexible support, including some evenings and weekends.

Experience in substance use or similar care is essential; SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is preferred or you can work towards it with our support.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting people affected by substance use.
• SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care preferred or willingness to pursue with support.
• Compassionate, resilient and patient approach.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and group support to help people achieve their recovery goals.
• Developing personalised recovery plans focused on each person's strengths and aspirations.
• Using therapeutic interventions, harm reduction strategies and relapse prevention tools.
• Working closely with families, carers and partner agencies to ensure joined-up care.
• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the ongoing development of the service.
• Offering flexible support, including some evenings and weekends when required.
