Job summary

Change Grow Live in Reading seeks a Recovery Coordinator to assess and engage service users at entry into the service, creating SUPs to guide goals and risks. The role supports individuals with substance misuse issues, offering knowledge and equipment to stay safe while coordinating with partners and the wider community.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse and experience in a similar field.
• Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.
• Proactive with strong time management and prioritising skills.
• Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services and best practice.
• Supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with a wide range of professionals.
• Ability to manage change prioritising the needs of service users.
• Importance of information governance and safeguarding compliance.
• Willingness to learn and help develop others.

Responsibilities

• Engage service users at entry into the service and assess needs.
• Develop the service user plan (SUP) to track goals, risks and actions.
• Advise on options within the service and wider community with information and equipment.
• Record information accurately and manage required paperwork.
• Collaborate within the Entry into Services (EIS) team to support interventions.
