Job summary

Change Grow Live is seeking a Recovery Motivator to join the North Lancashire team on a fixed-term basis. The role focuses on community engagement, peer support, signposting and promoting recovery opportunities across St Annes, Fleetwood and Lancaster.

The post requires lived experience of substance misuse, strong communication skills, and the ability to work across multiple locations. The role offers a part-time 22.5 hours per week schedule and a 6-month fixed term contract with pro rata salary

• Lived experience of drug and/or alcohol misuse.
• A genuine passion for supporting others in recovery.
• Understanding of local communities and the challenges people face.
• Good organisational and administrative skills.
• A calm, empathetic and non-judgemental approach.

• Flexibility to work across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming and supportive presence within open access service areas.
• Build positive relationships with individuals, families and communities affected by drug and alcohol use.
• Use your lived experience to inspire, motivate and support others in their recovery journey.
• Signpost individuals to relevant services, support agencies and community resources.
• Help develop peer support and mutual aid opportunities.
• Engage with people who may be isolated or not currently accessing mainstream services.
• Support individuals to identify and achieve their personal recovery goals.
• Attend team meetings, supervision and training to develop your skills and knowledge.
• Promote recovery-focused activities and act as a positive ambassador for the service.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to data collection requirements.
