Job summary

Change Grow Live is seeking a passionate Sessional Recovery Motivator to support people affected by drug and alcohol misuse across East Lancashire, including Pendle, Burnley and Hyndburn. The role is flexible, with no guaranteed hours, offered as a sessional worker to fit around your availability.

Using your lived experience to inspire hope, you will signpost to appropriate services, build trust with service users and contribute to recovery journeys within our East Lancashire Drug & Alcohol

Qualifications

• Lived experience of drug and/or alcohol misuse.
• A strong commitment to supporting others in their recovery journey.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A non-judgemental, empathetic and resilient approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational and administrative skills.
• An understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Flexibility to work across Pendle, Burnley and Hyndburn.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming and supportive presence within service and community settings.
• Build positive relationships with service users, families, carers and local communities.
• Use your lived experience to motivate and inspire others in recovery.
• Signpost individuals to appropriate treatment, recovery and community support services.
• Support the development of peer support and mutual aid opportunities.
• Engage with individuals who may not currently access mainstream services.
• Promote recovery, wellbeing and community integration.
• Attend training, meetings and supervision as required.
• Maintain accurate records and work in accordance with safeguarding policies and professional boundaries.
