Job summary

Middlesbrough Council is seeking a dedicated Caseworker to support clients with substance use issues, domestic abuse and homelessness. You will guide clients through treatment and recovery, develop recovery plans, and facilitate referrals to services.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable populations—substance use, domestic abuse, or homelessness.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screenings and assessments to identify client needs.
• Develop and implement tailored recovery plans.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure appropriate care.
• Work proactively to engage clients and meet service needs.
• Ensure adherence to processes and procedures.
• Coordinate clinical interventions with the clinical team.
