Job summary

Middlesbrough Council is seeking a dedicated Young Person Caseworker to support young people affected by substance use. You will assess needs, develop recovery plans, and deliver trauma-informed interventions within a multidisciplinary team.

This permanent, full-time role requires a full UK driving license, strong communication, and experience with vulnerable populations; you will liaise with partner agencies to coordinate care and help clients achieve positive outcomes.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caseworker to join our Young Persons team on a permanent basis.

Who We Are

Working as part of Middlesbrough Council, our mutli-disciplinary team provides vital support to those experience problems related to substance use. Our mission is to empower our service users by offering comprehensive care, tailored interventions, and a pathway to recovery.

Purpose of the Role

As a Young Person Caseworker, you will support young people affected by substance use and related challenges, helping them to reduce harm, build resilience, and achieve positive outcomes. Using a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, you will manage a caseload, complete assessments and recovery plans, deliver evidence-based interventions, and work closely with partner agencies to ensure young people receive the right support at the right time. This rewarding role requires flexibility, compassion, and a commitment to empowering young people to reach their full potential.
