Job summary

Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust is recruiting for a Band 3 Support Time Recovery Worker in Maidstone. You will provide recovery-focused support in the community, help service users achieve personal goals, and assist with personalised care plans under supervision.

You will work with clinicians, carers and partners to achieve positive outcomes, maintaining records and promoting wellbeing and self-management in adults with mental health needs. Driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people experiencing mental health difficulties or cognitive impairment in the community.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy, compassion and patience, with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
• Ability to build positive therapeutic relationships and work independently in community settings.
• Good written and IT skills to maintain accurate records.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, emotional and recovery-focused support to service users in the community.
• Support individuals to achieve their personal goals and maintain their independence.
• Assist clinicians with the planning, implementation and review of personalised care plans.
• Help service users access community services, support networks, housing, benefits and wellbeing opportunities.
• Deliver psychologically informed interventions under clinical supervision.
• Promote recovery, resilience, wellbeing and self-management.
• Work closely with clinicians, carers and partner organisations to achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to high-quality person-centred care.
