Job summary

North East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a compassionate, motivated Support Time and Recovery Worker to join the Mental Health and Wellness Team South in Waltham Forest. You will work across Leytonstone and Leyton delivering practical, recovery-focused support in service users’ homes and in community settings.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting people with mental health needs, social care needs or other complex circumstances.
• Principles of recovery focused and person-centred support.
• Clear communication with compassion, patience and respect.
• Ability to engage people who may find it hard to trust services.
• Good written, verbal and organisational skills.
• Confidentiality, safeguarding and risk management considerations.

Responsibilities

• Work with multidisciplinary team to support service users.
• Develop positive relationships and support recovery goals.
• Assist with Access and Triage, benefit forms and welfare rights advice.
• Provide practical help with housing, finances, appointments, daily living.
• Accompany service users to appointments as needed.
• Support access to education, training, volunteering and meaningful activities.
• Promote dignity, equality and diversity in every aspect of the role.
• Travel across Waltham Forest to community locations as required.
