The Role

Futures Together are seeking an experienced practitioner to undertake a Recovery Coordinator role within Essex (working primarily in the Basildon area). You will be part of a wider community team who work with adults within the criminal justice system who have multiple and complex needs across the County of Essex.

We are looking for individuals with experience of working within the substance misuse sector or healthcare profession to fulfill a range of tasks from case management to care navigation, advocacy, and multi-agency working. You will need to be passionate about recovery and working with clients to support, motivate, and manage them to access a wide variety of services. You must have good communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team as well as being able to use your own initiative when required and to manage your time independently.

Your Rewards
  • Salary of £24,637 per annum. The opportunity for potential yearly salary increments subject to appraisal, meaning an increase up to £28,000
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays (increasing each year to a maximum of 30 days)
  • Benefits including season ticket loan, pension scheme, and life assurance
  • Support through occupational sick pay, eye-care vouchers, and regular wellbeing talks and activities
  • Continuous training and career development via PXL, our dedicated learning management system

We’ll ensure you get all the support you need to thrive and succeed in your role and find your place amongst our incredible and collaborative team.

About You

To join us as a Recovery Coordinator, you will need:

  • Relevant experience of working in the field of problematic substance use, mental health, or another comparable field
  • Evidence of effective partnership working and the ability to network for the benefit of the client and service
  • Evidence of managing a caseload and excellent organisational skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Word and familiarity with relevant database management systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Experience of creating person-centred care plans and/or timetables based on identified needs would be advantageous, as would experience of partnership working, liaising with community and criminal justice services, and developing reintegration and resettlement plans.

We encourage and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and believe it is important to be inclusive of those with lived experience to ensure the needs of the people we support are represented. We are committed to creating an inclusive working environment where everyone is free to be themselves, and we ensure equity of opportunity.

We want you to feel comfortable during the interview process so that you can get to know Phoenix and we can get to know you. If shortlisted, you will be contacted for a face-to-face interview.
