Job summary

Change Grow Live in Corby is seeking a Recovery Champion to join our team. You will work with service users to initiate, build and utilise recovery capital, helping them move into long-term recovery and engage with the wider recovery community.

You’ll promote visible recovery, support service user involvement, and encourage access to both abstinence-based and medically assisted recovery options, while delivering flexible hours across sites. DBS checked and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Lived experience of drug or/and alcohol use.
• Willingness to develop and demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding focusing on children and vulnerable adult’s procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with good IT skills.
• Be able to build relationships with individuals with multiple needs, whilst remaining empathetic and non‑judgemental toward Service Users.
• Confident in working alone as well as part of a team.
• Can remain calm under pressure.
• Able to travel as required, including where public transport is not available.
• Work flexibly across all sites within an agreed number of hours to maintain the most appropriate level of service provision. This will include evening and weekend working.

We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly Recovery Champion to join our Corby team. The post-holder will work with service users initiating, building, and utilising recovery capital to move into long term sustained recovery. This will be achieved by working with service users, supporting, and delivering pods or one to one intervention as required.
